Gendered Violence Training for
Police & Transport
One in two women feel unsafe walking alone after dark in a busy public space
UK Office of National Statistics, 2023
Our empathy training explores the fem experience of navigating public spaces at night. Using virtual reality, we invite users to step into our shoes as we travel through a city after dark. Built with the verbatim voices of women aged 16 to 86 from our community, it aims to encourage victim-centred approaches to reducing violence against women and girls (VAWG).
The Research & Development of our VR tool, CurfewVR, was funded by Innovate UK.
CurfewVR now exists as the cornerstone of our Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) empathy training for policing, transport, and security teams. Delivered by two of our expert facilitators, training sessions are usually 3 hours long and accommodate up to 24 participants. We provide all VR equipment needed for the training.
